Join Brad Cooper Gallery in celebrating twenty-two years of presenting fine art exhibitions in the Tampa Bay area with a group exhibit titled: ABSTRACT GENERATIONS, opening Saturday, Nov 25, 2006 from 7-9 pm. This exhibition explores ideas of abstraction in art. The show will be on view through January 20, 2007. Works of art were selected for this show from current and former gallery artists; William Pachner, Eric Montoya, Willard Lustenader, Christine McCauley, Helena Rubinstein, John Gregory, Yvonne Petkus, Corey Postiglione, Gregory Schulte, Susan Schwalb, Thom O’Connor, Daniel Wigley, Steven McCallum & Brad Cooper.

Throughout history, no artist is independent of predecessors. For an artist, the medium becomes a responsive encounter, an interpretation of the observed or invented subject. Art is actually an illusion. Rendering appearances through abstraction becomes a marvelous pretext for extending our curiosity beyond our limited field of understanding.
