ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

R. Scott Whipkey was born on the 4^th of July 1984, in the blue-collar city of Rockford, Illinois. As a Drawing major, his work has been exhibited heavily throughout the Midwest in the past two years and is part of many private and public collections including that of Northern Illinois University, Columbia College and the Rockford Area Arts Council’s collections.  Along with a rich exhibition history he has received numerous awards, grants and scholarships as well as being a member of the Northern Illinois Printmakers Legion and co-founder of Chicago’s Grizzlee Bear Press.  He lives and works in Chicago, Illinois.
