ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

BRIAN RITCHARD has exhibited his paintings extensively in Chicago, New York, Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Dallas, Portland, Oregon and elsewhere.  His work has been featured in New Art Examiner, The Chicago Tribune, New American Paintings, North Shore Magazine, New City and elsewhere.  He received his Master of Fine Art degree from the University of Chicago in 1990.

Brian is also active as a curator, having organized well-received exhibitions for the Northern Illinois University Gallery and Jan Cicero Gallery.  He has served on various panels and been a visiting artist at several institutions. He is currently an adjunct instructor at Columbia College Chicago and The Graham School at the University of Chicago.

Brian’s paintings are in over fifty public and private collections.  He is currently represented by Navta Schulz Gallery in Chicago.
