ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Lara Loutrel recently had a two person exhibition at MPG Contemporary in Boston, Ma. 
In 2005 she had a two person exhibit at The Holden Street Gallery in Providence, RI.

She has been in a number of juried exhibitions including New Art 2006 at MPG Contemporary in Boston, the Washington Printmakers National Small Works 2005 Exhibition at the Washington Printmakers Gallery in Washington, DC and New Directions ‘04, 20th Annual National Juried Contemporary Fine Art Exhibition at the Barrett Art Center in Poughkeepsie, New York in 2004.

In January of 2006 she was awarded the Gallery Award at New Art 2006, in April, a Cash Prize in the 2006 Chelsea International Fine Art Competition sponsored by Agora Gallery in New York, and in June, the Johnson & Johnson Purchase Prize Award at the 50th Annual National Juried Print Exhibition at Hunterdon Museum of Art in New Jersey.  In 2005 she received a Juror’s Selection Honorable Mention in Printmaking at the 30th Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition in Peoria, Illinois as well as an Honorable Mention at the World Council for Arts & Culture 2nd Biennial International Juried Exhibition, and in 1998 she was one of two printmakers to be awarded a Foundation Award at MassArt.  Her work is also included in the Boston Public Library’s Print Collection.

She currently has a studio in Fort Point, Boston.
