ARTIST STATEMENT

The eye is forced to wander through the entire composition.

It is an artist’s individual and solitary dance of layers....

the slow, subtle process of washes upon washes, like thin 

sheets of glass. Some transparent ... some opaque.                     
 

Bold lines, lyrical lines, a frenzy of marks, scratches

and drizzles sparkle upon the surface. Shapes and forms 

emerge center stage, while others are pushed back, until it solidifies.
