ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Jefri Ruchti was born in Montreal, Canada in March 1949. As a member of a foreign service family, he spent his formative years in Europe and East Africa. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the University of Chicago. He has resided in Guilford CT for the past seventeen years. He made his first visit to Hawaii in 1982. Regardless of the clear facts to the contrary, he now considers that he was born, raised, and continues to live happily on Kauai. All his artwork, even landscapes of New England, reflects this Hawaiian experience.
