ARTIST STATEMENT

The inspiration for my iconic drawings comes from my fascination with the human figure, nature, and the aesthetic qualities of antique photographs. It is my intention to craft each drawing with a meticulous precision of detail in order to draw the viewer to intimacy with the drawing, and, to evoke in the viewer an emotional response with the sense of whimsy the compositional images offer. With such intimacy and whimsy, it is my intention that the viewer engage in dialogue with the subject matter and the meaning of the images therein.
