ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Born in Naples, Erin Dougherty returned to Florida after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design. She has spent the past few years working on a body of work entitled “Vulnerable Silences”. Pieces from the series have been shown both locally and nationally. An observer of life, Erin aspires not only to capture what she sees, but to create images that convey what we don’t always see; our passions, anxieties and desires. She is currently a studio manager for fashion photographer Jorge Alvarez. Her experience in the commercial side of the medium has provided her with the creative toolbox needed to articulate her ideas. She strives to combine her acquired skills in the commercial field with her conceptual background and fascination with story telling.
